This study was conducted to determine the influence of industrial training on the students' academic performance in the Office Technology and Management course in Delta State. Ex post facto survey research design was adopted. Four research questions and four hypotheses were put forward. The sample size consisted of 68 students. The student results for 2015/2016, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 academic sessions in office practice/management, shorthand, word processing, computer appreciation and information technology and computer application from the four colleges of education in Delta State were used to collect data for the study. The data collected were analyzed with mean and standard deviation for descriptive statistics while the t-test was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result revealed that there was an improvement in the students' academic performance in shorthand after the industrial training. It also showed that there was no significant difference in the students' academic performance in office practice/management, word processing, computer appreciation, and information technology and computer application. It was concluded that the students' industrial work experience scheme has a positive influence on the OTM students' academic performance in shorthand. Based on the findings, it was recommended, among others, that the institution should ensure that the OTM students were sent to establishments where they would be exposed to the practical use of modern office machines, that the establishments should ensure that the students sent to them on industrial training fully participated and acquired the needed knowledge and experience required for their studies.
